April brings much better sailing conditions to the Caribbean, rather than the stronger winds of January - March. Winds try to change to more SE but still are mainly NE with less wind and seas/northerly swells in April.
Coming up from Grenada a stop is usually made in Carriacou and that lessens the beat north-bound.
