on another note we are long time owners at Simpson Bay Resort (pelican). We did sit through the "owner" orientation because the pushy roper that works for the resort promised us $75 at the Stone. The nice thing is they put it all in writing what to expect (IE you will sit through a 1 hour preso) Several of the reps have been here 10+ years so we knew what to expect. And they are not overly pushy.... Very straight forward... I'll probably put this in a separate post but we did end up enrolling our unit into a "points" system and for a few modest extra $$ added more for greater flexibility. It was painless except for some unique title issues and we got our $75. All that said I would never sit through a timeshare presentation with a nebulous prize. If your pitch starts out with lie, you have lost the sale. immediately.
