Many years ago we went to our first and last timeshare presentation. We were told we would get $100 for attending a 90 minute presentation. We knew we weren't going to buy a unit from any developer but decided to go for the voucher anyway. Within 15 minutes we told the lady we had no intention of purchasing another unit. What was funny is we sat there and literally stared each other down for another 75 minutes! No talking at all, just silence. They weren't letting go until they had to!
