We’re in Leverick Bay rocking and rolling in 18kts and 2.5m swells. We’re in a 45’ monohull on a mooring ball. Had planned to sail to Anegada tomorrow for two nights. However, we’re having second thoughts now as two separate catamaran charter captains told us that they had scrapped their plans based on the winds... expecting Anegada mooring ground to be too uncomfortable. Windfinder.com Is predicting 2.7m for tomorrow . Anyone there now who can comment? We don’t mind the swells, but if the mooring ground is as crowded, as others have reported it to be, not sure I love the idea of no sleep worrying about being at anchor in rolling swells.

The Anegada anchorage is very protected during a swell and the holding is very good. Lots of room over in front of Neptunes.. You may get more first hand information from Anegada on bvipirate.com The area in front of Neptune's is likely to be way too shallow for a 45 foot monohull.
