Another year went by and we are here at BSV again!
Trip started with my sister dropping us off at the Renaissance hotel near EWR airport the night before our flight Monday morning. All went well with our non-stop flight with the exception that we had to wait for over an hour for the wheelchair service and got to the gate just in time for boarding. There were about 20 people waiting for wheelchairs.
On a good note, when we landed, the wheelchair attendant was waiting for us at a bottom of the steps. Our flight was first in so we made thru everything, got our luggage and were on our way to get our car rental in no time.
Beachside Villas, uhhh, home sweet home for the next 24 days!
Settled in, dipped in the pool and quick run to Maho Market for some essentials for next morning. Dinner at Palms, their famous lasagna for DH and shrimp for me. Life is good!
Did big grocery shopping at Carrefour on Bush road on Tuesday. They were out of a lot of dairy products, eggs but all got re-stocked when we went back on Thursday.
All our days are pretty much the same, eat, swim in the pool, ocean was still a bit rough for me to get in but it is starting look good today so will try it, nap and watch airplanes come and go. Met a lot of BSV November regulars chatting up at the pool.
Did a drive loop around the island, notice a lot of construction on the French side, stopped on Orient beach for a drink at Bikini beach bar. After all this rains island is very green and lush.
So far had one lunch at BBB, had a cheeseburgers and our friends had Philly cheesesteak and some fish burger, all were very good.
Had dinner at Al Pasha and that was very good also. Trying to alternate eating in and out with out being tonight, going to Vesna.

That’s it for now, more to come in the next installment.

Luda and Jim.

Life is short, travel the World.
