Did a TTOL search and Kenny's seemed to be the place of choice but they are booked for our dates. Looked at all the TTOL sponsors and pricing seems to be about the same. Does anyone have favorites?

We all do, (mine has been Lesley - Kennys - for years....) but that's not much help to you, is it?!

Alain Arnell at AAA gets many raves as does Unity but really, you can't go too wrong with any of the sponsors. They're a great place to start.... Compare their services and cars and take a shot. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

we use AAA and have for years. Alain is the BEST. Also, don't bother looking online for pricing.....contact each direct....the pricing will usually be better than what you are seeing.

We've been using AAA for many years, and are obviously very satisfied. Alain is great, his cars are reliable, and the price is very reasonable. One difference between him and Lesley is that the car is not at the airport. He'll pick you up and drive you to his office, which is on the Simpson Bay side of the runway. I find it takes about fifteen minutes to get from the airport, pick up the car, complete all paperwork, and get back on the road to our resort. Some find this an inconvenience, but we enjoy the conversation with the driver on the way; helps us to catch up on what's changed on the island since our last visit.

Been using Hertz SXM for the last 15+ years. Just booked a Carolla for 700.00 for 4 weeks with all taxes, fees and free liability insurance. Might want to give them a try. Very short shuttle ride to their lot. No charge on your card till you get there.

We also use AAA and have been happy. For us we take a cab when we land - Wilfred Brooks - and have the car dropped the next day or so by AAA where we are staying - always on time. We prefer not having to deal with a rental the 1st day and let Wilfred take care of us. The AAA drop is easy, we just give a time and the car appears, quick walk around, sign and we are done

Works for us

I had never thought of doing that. We get there early enough that we don't mind the little trip to get the car, but if we were arriving later I could see where that would be a real benefit.

Our typical non stop arrival times are either 4 or 6 pm - we generally use 4 if possible, so we land in daylight. By the time we have our bags and out the door, closer to 5 assumoing we landed on time. If we landed at noon, I might rethink - but then I would miss our chat with Wilfred
Note - don't ask Wilfred about phone line repairs on the Fr side! - Seems you cannot report to get fixed unless you call from your landline - the very landline that isn't working - they won't accept a call from your cell!
