Started when a friend asked if we'd like to join him on a bareboat sailing charter in the British Virgin Islands. I had no clue as to what this was so he asked if I'd seen the Alan Alda film The Four Seasons, which I had. One of the segments was about a bareboat charter in the Virgin Islands. I watched it again, noticing this time the beauty of the locale and some of the life aboard cramped quarters of a boat and decided that would be fun to try.
