The wind funnels through Norman which in lighter wind days is a good thing but not so good with 20 knot winds. If you want less wind consider a mooring past the caves in Privateer Bay or going up to Benures Bay. Both are well protected from East Winds. Benures also offers some great snorkeling in the Western half of the Bay.
