Around five years ago, my wife and I were staying at the Royal Palm with another couple and planned a glorious outing to Anguilla for a day. A local lady told us she went once a week and only needed a drivers license. We packed up our snorkeling gear, towels ,etc and drove to Marigot to take the ferry. As we were boarding, we were told that passports were required <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cloud.gif" alt="" />

I ran to the car parked a few blocks away, flew back to the Royal Palm, ran up to the 5th floor, opened the safe, grabbed our passports, drove like a madman back to Marigot, parked the car, and ran back to the ferry hoping to catch the NEXT departure.

Believe it or not, the same ferry was still there waiting for me. As we got on, not one person gave us an evil eyeball or even seemed to care that they had to wait because we were so dumb. After that experience, we seldom complain anymore when other people are on Island Time.
