One hit and run resulted in a death. The other both drivers in hospital. When is this going to stop?

SXM Scuba,
No country in the world has succeeded in making traffic accidents "stop." So the answer is, "Never."

Motorbike "lane - splitting" must be stopped. The bikes should be required to travel in the same manner as automobiles.

Unfortunately some states are passing laws to make lane splitting legal. Crazy world we live in.

"Police remind all road users that reckless driving, failure to obey traffic rules, and fleeing the scene of an accident are serious criminal offences."

Yes they are. It would be nice if the police started enforcing this instead of just giving it lip service.

Blaming a scooter for a criminal act is the same as blaming a gun for a crime. They are both metal and plastic, inanimate objects not capable of doing anything on their own. It is the operators that are responsible and should be held accountable.

No argument there.
