I saw some faint beginings of construction work late October but just saw pics on Facebook of a structure going up very close to Soggy Dollar, anybody know anything about it?

We had a charter guest that came back this week and said it was going to be a 200 seat restaurant.

Better be a pretty big structure to have 200 seats! Add a kitchen that can turn the place over two times a night, a bar, freezer, cold storage, dry storage, managers office, employee lockers and you are talking a minimum of 10,000 square feet!

Perhaps the 200 seats included seating for 190 on the beach?
Always good to see people starting new businesses though.

From what I hear, it's a new resort and restaurant owned by someone from Virgin Gorda. Don't have any other details.

Wonder if it is the same guy that made over Anegada Sands to the Beach Club.

I didn't ask Doug if he'd started something on JVD but he didn't mention anything in January. I seriously doubt it's a Driftwood property.

Me-thinks a zero got added onto the estimate of the #-of-people restaurant size.. and even that would be interesting

I hope no dock. That would set a precedent and the old plan for a dock down below Seddy's would be revived by the folks who schlepp the cruise folks around.

Hey, Can anyone chime in? Looking at the WebCam at Soggy, looks like a "FAMOUS PERSON" is filming something? Lots of excitement right now!

I read on Facebook it will be a new restaurant and bar owned by the Hendersons, the same people that own Top of The Baths.

I also heard from a JVD belonger that it was owned by the Hendersons.
