I have a Pizza Dough recipe I make some times... my own recipe... It's along the lines of a Greek Baklava (that was my inspiration)... but substituting Pizza Dough for the Phylo... Very easy to make and always a crowd pleaser...
I takes one fresh Pizza Dough package (thawed frozen also works), and pound it out to about 20"x6" with my hands... Let it rise, and then punch down... I cover it in a rather thick layer of good honey & chopped pecans (or walnuts or whatever nuts you would prefer, we like pecans) and then dust heavily with cinnamon sugar... I roll it lengthwise to make a 20" log... flatten it down by hand to about 1" thick, and drizzle about a 1/4 cup of melted butter on top and then dust the top with more cinnamon sugar... a fairly heavy dusting... Let it rise again for about 1/2 to an hour at room temp and then... Bake on a cookie sheet at 425F until done crispy on the outside, chewey on the inside... (I have no idea of times, as I just look at it and figure when it's done... probably about 30-40 minutes)... let cool and slice into 1"-2" slices on the diagonal... Yummmm! Goes great with good coffee after dinner! also great for a brunch side...
