This statement is truly a doozie, where do you get your info. Have you ever been on a boat over 50'? I have never seen top loading on ;larger more modern yachts. More problematic on a smaller sailing vessel is stuff moving in the stand up fridge. It's not a marketing ploy, but a convenience.
