I could get all nostalgic about when I first went to the islands, a chart plotter was a set of dividers a pencil and a rule, and some airplane pictures of the islands.
By far the best tool that I have now is an APP called "my radar" on my phone. When I see a little grey on the horizon...that turns black, I can be fully prepared that I have a pretty good idea if it is just a squall, or a dreaded "squatter".
