First of all, thank you for your response. That was my understanding, too, but JB is maintaining that doesn’t apply in this current situation since in reality it wasn’t JB but the SXM island government who actually made the cancellation. The only way it would apply, according to them anyway, would be if I had purchased the more expensive full price ticket and then a full refund would absolutely be in order.

I don’t know why I bother with JB since I always seem to have these problems with them while others sing their praises from the rooftops. But I have to say, the CSR I spoke with was totally pleasant and truly wanted to be accommodating. It was her supervisor who I also spoke with that offered the option of providing information regarding anyone who had gotten the refund.

In the end, it won’t be the end of the world if I don’t get the refund to my cc but it will serve to further reinforce my intention of booking AA whenever possible.
